DIGICOMP EXPAND THE BONSUCCESSO BANK INSTALLATIONS IMPLANTING A NEW DATA CENTER

ABOUT THE COMPANY

 

BONSUCCESSO BANK S/A is an important part of BONSUCCESSO GROUP – a conglomerate of companies participating in the financial market and in the retail car-sales industry, car ‘concourse’, insurance brokers amongst others.

Constituted initially by Bonsucesso Financeira in 1992 in order to participate in vehicle financing together with the commercial arm of the Group, Bonsucesso gained its share of the market quickly and intelligently. After 5 consecutive years of good results, the Financial company transformed itself into a Multiple Bank with a focus in credit concessions, moving to operate with other products which made the continuity of its growth viable.

 

NECESSITY

 

O Banco Bonsucesso vem crescendo a cada ano e sua infra-estrutura precisa estar 100% disponível para seus clientes, por isto, houve a necessidade da criação de um novo Data Center.

 

SOLUTION IMPLEMENTED

 

Digicomp elaborated the project for the implantation of a new Data Center for Bonsucesso Bank with the vision of adapting the infrastructure to the standards of availability, security and quality required to support the applications being utilized.

 

The managing of the project was caried out by Digicomp, who was resposible for the execution of the following projects:

 

  • Air conditioning system;
  • Fire Detection and Combate System;
  • Fire-proof Door;
  • Motor/Generator Instalation;
  • Distribution of Logic Cabling to the interior of the Data Center;
  • Distribution of Electric Circuits to the Data Center;
  • Distribution of Lighting for the Data Center;
  • Electricity Connection Network for the Data Center;
  • Earthing System for the Data Center;
  • Security and Access control System.

 

The Digicomp engineer responsible for the project affirmed the Bank’s necessity for a very efficient system of security, and stated that he based it on other systems such as that of information technology. Digicomp therefore offered the best and most secure of possibilities so as to avoid faults.

Digicomp has concluded the project for the expansion of the Paul Wurth Brazil Data Center in Belo Horizonte

ABOUT THE COMPANY

 

Since its foundation in 1870, Paul Wurth, a simple manufacturer of mechanical parts, became a high level engineering solutions company, with its own specialized factory and located in Luxemburg.

 

With the evolution of business throughout the world and the expansion of the mrket frontiers, PAUL WURTH S.A. opened affiliates in various countries; the first being inaugurated in Brazil in June 1977, in Belo Horizonte, capital of the State of Minas Gerais, the largest steel making pole in Brazil.

 

Participating in the steel making sector and recently in non-ferrous metals and environmental solutions, PAUL WURTH DO BRAZIL has a portfolio of clients with personalized treatment; the large and medium Brazilian steel makers, where it acts as partner in the supply of services and equipment, always with a high level of technology and quality.

 

NECESSITY

 

Paul Wurth do Brazil needed to expand its installations and construct a new Data Center in its Belo Horizonte branch without interrupting the daily routine of the office. Because of this the challenge of relocating all of the personnal while the project was being undertaken was minutely calculated and planned in advance.

 

SOLUTION IMPLEMENTED

 

Digicomp elaborated and conducted the project for the implantation of the new Data center for Paul Wurth do Brazil, simultaneously as the company worked, the project went ahead without problems and without interruptions. As there was not enough space for the execution of the project, a provisional Data Center was constructed on the 8th floor, and people were repositioned in the old Data Center. In sequence we constructed a new Data Center on the 11th floor, and then relocated definitively the people and the equipment. Now the Belo Horizonte Branch has a new modern system and anti-failure.

 

The rundown, Digicomp executed the following projects:

 

  • Installation of raised floor;
  • Fire detection and combat system on the 11th floor;
  • Distribution of Logic Cabling to the interior of the Data center;
  • Distribution of Electric Circuits to the Data Center;
  • Distribution of Lighting for the Data Center;
  • Electricity Connection Network for the Data Center;
  • Earthing System for the Data Center;
  • Telecommunications system, Voice Backbone and data;
  • Security and Access Control System for the 11th floor;
  • Installation of 2 No-Breaks in Parallel/Redundant;
  • Monitoring System for Racks and DCs.

 

Dimitry Boczar, CEO for Digicomp was responsible for managing the project. He remarked: “The construction of a Data Center without the space necessary for the project imposed an extra difficulty in the work as we had to relocated a good part of the personnal and their equipment to a temporary space so as to hand over the project without interruptions to the company. The work was completed strictly within the plan without having to hold back work for one day.”

Digicomp concludes the Project Management delivering the new Unimed-BH Data Center

ABOUT THE COMPANY

 

Having more than 600,000 clients, Unimed BH currently is the the greatest health plan operator outside the Rio-Sao Paulo region and the eighth largest in Brazil, as well as being a reference in quality.

 

NECESSITY

 

Unimed-BH has an increasing number of clients, increasingly demanding more efficiency from its IT department.

 

One of the objectives was the increase and the guarantee of the infrastructure necessary to improve the attendance demanded by the 600,000 clients and 4,500 collaboraing doctors.

 

IMPLANTED SOLUTION

 

Digicomp elaborated the project for the implantation of the new Data Center for Unimed-BH, aiming to adapt the infrastructure to the standards of security and quality demanded to support the applications presently utilized.

 

The management of the project was carried out by Digicomp, who was resposible for the companies which executed the following projects:
